You will continue to develop your drawing skills in this unit. To make it interesting and fun, we will practice drawing and continue to improve our skills by drawing tattoo art. Below is a tutorial that I created that will guide you through this unit. Have fun!
This video will give you a brief history of graffiti art in America. I also introduce to you leading artists of this art form. At the end of the video you will see student examples of art and will be given an understanding of what is expected of you for this assignment. Ms. B.
Now that you know how to use value to shade in pencil and in colored pencils, we will now begin to put that knowledge into use! Let's use our knowledge or the Element of Art "value" in our graffiti letters! I have two Flipped Classroom videos on graffiti art. Please scroll down on this page to watch a video on the history of graffiti and famous graffiti artists.
The Flipped Classroom is a pedagogical model in which the typical lecture and homework elements are reversed. Short video lectures are viewed by students prior to class session, while in-class time is devoted to exercises, projects, or discussions.
