There are many days when I am either tired, in a bad mood or when I don’t think that anything special took place and I feel that I don’t have anything to write about. However, I routinely sit with pen in hand and I think of all the things that I am grateful for in my life and sure enough, it never fails, I can always think of something to be grateful for. As soon as my pen touches the paper I feel my spirit lifting and happiness enters my heart. Gratitude changes everything! I researched the benefits of gratitude in a person’s life and look what I found!
I don’t know if I ever told you guys this but I have a “gratitude journal” that I keep. It is not a store bought journal but instead it is a handmade journal that was made in our classroom. I daily write in it all the things that happened throughout my day that I am grateful for. Funny thing about gratitude journals…they bring out the gratitude in you! Let me explain. So think about keeping a gratitude journal...you'll be surprise how many things there are to be grateful for in a day. Imagine that every little blessing in your day is a flower for you to pick and enjoy. If you look closely and have an open heart, I promise you that by the end of the day you will have a beautiful bouquet of flowers in your hand and a smile on your face. I love you guys, Ms. B.
